1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions are a binding agreement between you and Lemonity ("we," "us"), the company behind Rewrait. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Rewrait desktop apps, the rewrait.com website, or any related service (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use Rewrait on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to that organization.
2. About Rewrait
Rewrait is a desktop utility that rewrites text you select or dictate, using artificial-intelligence models and related services. Shortcuts can read approved source context - such as Notion, Confluence, or Google Docs pages you whitelist - to match your voice and your team's conventions.
Rewrait depends on AI models that generate text. Output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a given purpose, and you are responsible for reviewing any rewrite before you use it.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. By using Rewrait you confirm that you meet these requirements.
4. Accounts and Workspaces
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
On Team plans, a workspace administrator manages members, roles, connected sources, and shared configuration. Administrators are responsible for the users they invite and for the content processed through their workspace.
Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
5. License Grant
Subject to these Terms, Lemonity grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use Rewrait for your personal or internal business purposes. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
These Terms do not transfer any ownership of the Service, its software, or its intellectual property to you.
6. User Content
You retain all rights to the text and other content you submit through Rewrait. We do not claim ownership of it.
You grant Lemonity a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to process, transmit, and temporarily handle your content solely as needed to operate the Service and return your rewrites.
We do not use your content to train AI models. Rewrite history is off by default and remains under your control, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the content you submit and for ensuring you have the rights to submit it and any connected source material.
7. Acceptable Use
Do not use Rewrait to create or distribute unlawful, harmful, deceptive, infringing, or abusive content.
Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or access the source code of the Service except as permitted by law.
Do not interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its security, or its infrastructure.
Do not resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties, or use it to build a competing product.
Do not exceed plan usage limits through automated means or otherwise abuse the Service.
8. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds
Rewrait offers a free plan and paid subscription plans with additional features. Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until cancelled.
New accounts may start with a no-card 14-day Team trial. During the trial, Team features are available for up to 10 workspace seats, unlimited rewrites are subject to the fair-use rate limit, and each rewrite can include up to 10,000 characters. The signup trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription. When it ends, the workspace moves to the Free plan with 30 rewrites a month, 1,000 characters per rewrite, and 1 seat unless you upgrade.
By subscribing, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the applicable fees and taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
You can cancel a paid subscription at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
We may change plan features or pricing on a going-forward basis, with notice before the change applies to your next renewal.
9. Third-Party Services
Rewrait relies on third-party providers, including AI models (OpenAI, Google Gemini), transcription (Deepgram), payments (Stripe), email (Brevo), hosting (Fly.io), and any integrations you connect (such as Notion, Confluence, or Google Docs). Your use of those providers may be governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
Connected integrations are accessed under read-only OAuth scopes, and you can disconnect them at any time.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content we provide, is owned by Lemonity and protected by intellectual-property laws. The "Rewrait" name and logo are our marks and may not be used without permission.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate or fit for your purpose.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lemonity will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Lemonity harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law.
14. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way that creates risk or legal exposure for us or others.
On termination, your license ends and we may delete your account data in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Spain will have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
